I kind of forgot I even had a blog for a little while there. Right, yeah. Blog. It’s been almost an entire month since I last posted so what on earth has happened since then? I don’t know, let’s check my camera. Because if I didn't take a picture of it it probably didn't happen, right?
This first picture is from Lantern Festival. Lantern Festival is the day that marks the end of Spring Festival for the Chinese. It comes 14 days after Chinese New Year so this year is was February 17th. The school day went as usual but in the evening there were lots of fireworks. I missed them all because they happened while I was in my Chinese class but after class I went for a walk to see what was going on down by the lake. I know the picture isn’t clear but I like it that way. It makes it seem more exciting.
There were these flying lanterns that were like little hot air balloons powered by candles. They looked really cool in the sky. Not like this at all but the night setting on my camera has a long exposure and of course the lanterns were moving around.
Next on my camera we find some individually wrapped oranges that I was helping Kitz unwrap that time I was at her house for a barbecue. What’s that you say? All oranges are individually wrapped, it’s called a peel. I know that, you know that, the person who wrapped these oranges in plastic apparently didn’t realize.
And here’s the package I got on Friday from my parents. CANDY!
And here’s a poster I took a picture of just last saturday. Yes, in MARCH. Is Santa getting married this year?
And here’s some soup I tried Saturday night when I went out for dinner with the teachers from school. It was coconut crocodile soup. The crocodile meat tasted like very, very chewy turkey.
And here’s the package I got on Monday from Robert. MORE CANDY! And monkey socks.
So there you go, the last month in pictures.
